University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM) admits international students for full or part-time education to several specialties in Bachelor degree in German (Chemical engineering) or English languages (Biotechnology and Biochemical engineering) and Master degree after secondary school education in French language (Chemical and biochemical engineering).
 
General Admission Requirements
Application at the UCTM-Sofia is open to foreign students who hold a Secondary School Diploma, which allows them access to higher education institutions in the respective countries where they have completed their secondary education.
All applicants must have a diploma for completed secondary (high) education.
The documents should be translated, legally verified by the consular service of the Republic of Bulgaria in the country of issue and it has to be recognized by the Regional Office of Education, Sofia. The recognition of diploma in the Regional Office of Education, Sofia has to be done by the person who will apply for training. The UCTM do not offer such kind of service. In case there is no Bulgarian consulate in the respective country, the documents should be legalized according to the routine practice and procedure for legalization, translation and verification of documents. Only original seals and stamps are accepted.

Required documents for applying to UCTM admission:
  1. Application form to the Rector of UCTM for admitting to a particular program, accompanied by a short CV.

  2. Legalized copy of the secondary (high) school diploma in the original language.

  3. Legalized translation (in Bulgarian) of the secondary (high) school diploma

  4. Medical certificate issued one month prior to applying. This certificate should be translated in Bulgarian

  5. Copy of the identity document

  6. 2 recent photos (passport format)

 
Notes:
  1. Documents specified in p. 2 and 3 should be legalized by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of origin and legalized by the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria there.

  2. Legalization of the medical certificate (p. 4) should be done by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of origin and legalized by the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria there.

Living Conditions
Student dormitory rooms are available at a price of 45 euro. Average cost of living is about 600 euro per month.
