• Doctoral studies at UCTM can be full-time, part-time and through independent preparation.
• The conditions for admission and training of doctoral students are regulated according to the current legislation in UCTM.
• The training is conducted in a scientific specialty of the scientific field in which the educational qualification degree "Master" was acquired.
• Full-time doctoral studies have a term of study of 3 years, and part-time - 4 years.
• The annual tuition fees for doctoral students are determined each year by a decree of the Council of Ministers
• Full-time doctoral students have the right to a dormitory.
• Since 2008 the scholarship for full-time doctoral students is BGN 450.

   

• application to the rector of UCTM (according to the sample);
• autobiography;
• diploma for completed master's degree with application;
• diploma for completed bachelor's degree with application;
• two recommendations from habilitated persons;
• list of scientific publications and achievements (if any);
• medical certificate;
• document for paid application fee.

• Competitive exams in the specialty and one Western language (optional - English, French or German) will be held in November and December.
• The syllabi for the competitive exam in the specialty are prepared by the respective scientific unit and are accepted by the Academic Council.
• The enrollment of doctoral students from the respective Faculty / Department Council is from March 1.

The training of doctoral students is carried out according to a curriculum approved by the Academic Council, which includes:

• Mandatory classroom (lectures, seminars, exercises) and extracurricular consultations / classes;
• Compulsory taking of exams in: the scientific specialty; western language; selected additional disciplines (broad-profile and specialized), approved by the Academic Council

  The documents are submitted in seven copies: three on paper and the rest on electronic media. The application to the rector and the notarized copy of the diploma are submitted in one copy.

   

  Note: The information cards are filled in after the issuance of the diploma for acquiring ONS "Doctor".
